Kasdan On Board for Clash of the Titans Remake

How can you remake that which is already great? Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion special effects were the charms of the original cult classic; I don’t want my Bubo and Kraken to be slick and computer-generated, thank you very much. And who could replace ‘80s beefcake Harry Hamlin as Perseus? (Okay, maybe Jake Gyllenhaal… just because.) The only good news to come out of this so far: Lawrence Kasdan has been picked up to write the script for the Warner Bros. flick. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because he wrote the screenplays for geekdom’s favorite movies, namely The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and Raiders of the Lost Ark (yeah, that guy). So there is still hope that they won’t completely screw this up…

His last movie, however, was Stephen King's "Dreamcatcher," and all I seem to remember from that is Morgan Freeman's fake bushy eyebrows and Donnie Wahlberg Hulk-like transformation.
But I'll give him a pass just for doing a great job on the other stuff.
