Could Kingdom Hearts Get A Spin-Off Series?

Obviously Tetsuya Nomura just wants to drive us all insane with his veiled statements to the press. Even though he told us, last year, to expect announcements about a whole slew of Kingdom Hearts-related products, he's now claiming the next game he's working on won't be Kingdom Hearts III:
"First, it's not Kingdom Hearts III," Nomura told Dengeki PlayStation. "Of course, because we're calling it a 'new' series, it won't be KHIII. Also, it's a series, so it probably won't be just one title."
To me, that's just vague enough to imply that they could be working on a series of games related to the KH universe, much like Square-Enix has been doing with the Final Fantasy VII franchise of late. Especially since we just saw that KH III teaser from the end of Kingdom Hearts II...

I think he might be referring to "Its a Wonderful World" currently in devolopment for Nintendo DS. I'd heard that would be the next project Nomura was working on. The japanese website is http://www.square-enix.co.jp/subarashiki/
Doesn't he just mean that the series is changing name because it's entering a new chapter of the story? That it really would't fit to keep calling it Kingdom Hearts. I guess you could call that a spin-off, but I don't think we'll be seeing a KH3 anymore.
How much for the giant Sora statue?
I really hope they do a KHIII, though after how II ended I'm not sure where else the story could go.
The picture of the Sora statue is from my personal E3 collection. They had it on display at E3 2004 surrounded by a bunch of tvs where you could play... Final Fantasy XII. Go figure.
A. I REALLY want that Sora statue.
B. If anyone has seen the extended trailer from KHII: Final Mix, then it seems there's a possibility that this new series could still be called Kingdom Hearts, but it'll probably focus on Xehanort's story (and how he ended up at Ansem's doorstep) since that is one of the(if not THE) major question still unanswered.
(well actually...there are still a few other questions regarding Kairi, that mysterious voice that guided both Sora and Roxas to take the keyblade, etc.)
It's a spin-off series for sure, but I still think there's a possibility that there will be Kingdom Hearts III though it may just be the final installation for the main series
