Crackdown: Flying Vehicles in DLC?

In a Eurogamer interview earlier this week, Crackdown producer Phil Wilson revealed that airborne vehicles could be a possibility for upcoming downloadable content. Previously, flying vehicles had been ruled out because of concerns about the engine’s limits:
Since nothing's announced for the forthcoming downloadable content I have to be careful what I say about it, but flying vehicles are something that we initially decided to steer well clear of. As it happens that latter concern was irrelevant because, as you can see in the finished game, the existing engine can handle immense draw distances and rapid streaming... so airborne antics is definitely not off the table going forward.
Not that we really need flying vehicles in the game. Collect enough orbs and you’ll be able to leap to different locations around Pacific City with ease. But it’d be a great excuse to run through it all again with a friend, as short as it is. Also coming up in content patches are new co-op game modes (including one inspired by a video posted on YouTube) and the option to reset all the gangs (so that you can play with your existing beefy, orb-filled character instead of starting over). And in the future, the game may allow for more than two players in co-op mode. One thing’s for sure: Boy of Tomorrow and I are very, very pleased.

I seem to recall the narrator having a line about flying vehicles at some random point in the game. Here's hoping...
