Defcon Comes To US Retail

Indie darling developer Introversion is bringing their critically acclaimed title Defcon to brick-and-mortar retailers in North America. US-based publisher Encore will be delivering the war simulation stateside. The game billed as the “world’s first genocide-‘em-up” is based off of the “big boards” from such films as War Games and Dr. Strangelove.
It's Global Thermonuclear War, and nobody wins. But maybe - just maybe - you can lose the least.
Until now, the game was only available via Steam and direct download. While the game costs $14.95 through the Steam service, the packaged physical copy will cost $29.99. That is a little steep to double the price. If they can get that much for a game that has been available for over half-a-year, more power to them.
If you haven't played it yet, check out the demo on the official site.
