First GH II Dowloadable Song Packs Hit XBLA

Major Nelson made an announcement in the wee hours of the morning about three new song packs available for Guitar Hero II on the 360. Songs include Killer Queen, Ace of Spades and Bark at the Moon. Owners of Guitar Hero for the PS2 will recognize these songs as they are featured in the original. Each pack of three songs is 500 MS points which comes out to about $6.25 per pack or a little over $2 per song. Hopefully they will offer some kind of reduced rate if you purchase multiple packs, especially considering that these are songs that are already available on another iteration of the game.
It is exciting, at least for me, that they are making these original songs available since I can no longer play GH I on my PS2. Something about the combination of my Hi-Def TV and component cables is creating a lag between the music and the game, thus making it impossible to play anymore. I've been very upset about this ever since I got my new TV. It kind of sucks that I will essentially have to buy the game all over again on a new system to be able to enjoy those original tracks, but I am a GH fiend and I'll do whatever it takes to be able to continue my career as a fake rock star in my living room. Long live ROCK AND ROLL, bitches!
