I thought it was a lot of fun stuff in the video. I'm quite annoyed with machinama, using tiled textures and using the ingame animation while someone voiced over them. At least he went out of his way to understand how the Halo 1 models worked in order to animate them.
Sure, it screams of fan-made, but it's a lot of fun and it's a labor of love. Love the soft detail on the 3d models of females he made at the end.

I saw this earlier today and it blew me away. It also says something that I enjoyed this a lot more than the scene from The Matrix Reloaded from which it borrows a lot of its soundtrack.
No matter how many times I watch this, I still think that fight scene is incredibly awesome... and then I crack up at the dancing part at the end.
I wouldn't show this to anyone. The fight scenes, while believable at first, spin out of control to a level of scripted and canned insanity that severely backlashes against the beginning of the video, which is cool.
And Master Chief is a lesbian who disguises her voice? Really? Does every fucking fan movie have to end in some radical romance to tide the hordes of hopelessly romantic and closeted nerds over? Look, Monty Oum and company, good try, but I'm not buying.
Yes, I all ready saw this today too and I've been telling everyone I know to check it out. It's totally amazing!

If you notice something. That Spartan was the same one used in Dead of Alive, who was in fact a woman.
Other then that, you must admit its a very well made video about super soldiers blowing things up.
Wow. The amount of love that went into that is amazing.
But my favorite part is the fact that the guy is actually making fun of everyone that thinks it's awesome. Because while it's entertaining and well done, it's also completely stupid and derivative. Which I guess is the point. I mean when you first start hearing the Juno Reactor track start up, you should already know what's in the guy's head... and still, people lap it up.
I mean not everything has to be high art and there's plenty to be said for popcorn entertainment, but this guy's basically giving the finger to the idiocracy, and people still don't get it (read the comments on gametrailers)...
And Samus does almost all of it WITHOUT armor.

I have to give this guy mad props. It takes a lot of love, devotion, time and patience to come up with something even a tenth as amazing at that was. I have a feeling this won't be the last we've heard of Monty Oum! :)
That was basically amazing. Wouldn't it be awesome if Master Cheif (or Chick) were one of the special characters in SSBB? Just like Snake, MC would be a game seller in my book!
