Mix Master With A Wiimote And A Mac
I’ve seen some Wiimote music mixing before, but nothing like this. The video begins with the Wiijay playing a rolling harp, which sounds nice, but isn’t too impressive. Then he showcases pitch and yaw adjustments with the Wiimote and Nunchuk controls. Next up he controls the tempo of the music by bouncing the Wiimote to set the tempo. It gets a little disturbing when he plays the crying baby piece to demonstrate morphing of a sound sample. It briefly gave me a PS3 white room flashback, ohh the horror, make it stop!
At 6:30 on the timestamp, he begins his Theramin portion of the program. Which is really nice. I just love the sound of a Theramin, but then again, who doesn’t? He goes through a myriad of other music mashing abilities, too many to name. I just love to see what people have done with this technology. Who would have thought that we would be using a video game controller to mix music, and control robots?

Whoa! *channels Joey Lawrence*
I always thought Macs were cool, but this is astounding. That synthetic vowels part was worth money.
This is brilliant! If anyone else wants to try it, it's at http://theamazingrolo.blogspot.com/2007/03/wii-loop-machine.html (you need OS 10.4.8+ and Bluetooth)
