I've been looking at trying this game out, but I'm hesistant as many reviews slammed it for being riddled with bugs and performance issues. Has that been your experience Tiny, and if so, has Obsidian released any fixes?
MuddBstrd,
I *did* have performance issues with the game originally, yes. It also took a while to get re-adjusted to the basic NWN interface, which IMHO tries to be too flexible and doesn't quite succeed.
That said, my performance issues cleared up within the first patch, and I actually found myself playing the game through a second time just for the joy of RPing a different character - and I can count the number of games I've played through twice (without at least one intervening year) on one hand, minus a thumb and a pinky.
Of course, I'm a massive RPG, D&D and Forgotten Realms fan, so my view is certainly skewed toward *wanting* to love NWN2. But given any of the alternatives, I'd still recommend it to anyone who loves RPGs or a great fantasy experience.
Glad to hear a lot of the tech issues got resolved. I may pick this up, maybe if it goes down in price (if it hasn't already).
