No More Sadness, For Now

Development of the Wii survival horror game Sadness has been halted due to the publisher backing out of the game. Nibris has been developing the title, but now they are in a bit of a pickle. A representative from Fronline commented on the situation:
I can confirm that FRONTLINE is no longer interested in developing Sadness game based on Nibris’ concept, and also Nibris is not authorized to claim anything on behalf of FRONTLINE.
Without a publisher, the game is dead in the water. Well, it’s floating at least. If they can get another publisher on board, they can continue their work. All we have seen from the game is a bit of concept art, a trailer without an ounce of game footage, and some brief plot points. So, it’s not much of a surprise that the game is in suspension. It would be great to see another publisher pick this game up. Although without any real public evidence that the game even exists, it would be a struggle to get the gears moving again.

:C I was really looking forward to this.
Me too, it could have been one of the coolest Wii titles to date. Hopefully it still will be. Please Nintendo? Pick it up!
discredited! Sadness is still "on like Donkey Kong". yep.
I never trusted these guys to begin with. I don't think this game was ever real. They are just trying to get hype going so that someone like Microsoft or Nintendo will buy them or something. Sadness = vaporware.
