Surf's Up for Fishburne, Hulk Smash for Norton
Big superhero movie news this week for Marvel geeks... First, we heard that Edward Norton (Fight Club, American History X, et al.) will play Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk. According to Variety, "the new pic begins with Banner on the run, trying to avoid capture long enough to cure the condition that turns him into a misunderstood green menace." The Incredible Hulk is slated for June 13, 2008.
Meanwhile, we learned that Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix, Pee Wee's Playhouse, et al.) will voice our favorite shiny, nude surfer dude the Silver Surfer in the Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, which opens June 15th. Apparently, he was rumored to play the voice of Galactus, but it hasn't been decided if Galactus will speak yet. Fishburne recently did some narration in TMNT (didja notice?) and I think he's a great fit to voice the ominous Silver Surfer. But Norton as the Hulk? Not sure how I feel about that because I already fell in love with Eric Bana, even though the Ang Lee movie was a disappointment... What do you think?

Norton will be great. Personally I liked the first hulk and Eric Bana, may just be my strange lust for large green men though.
I never understood the hatred for Ang Lee's Hulk movie. It wasn't that bad! I think you're all under the influence of the media so your opinion is skewed! Ed Norton would be a good choice but I liked Eric Bana in the role.

Also, when do we get a new GGotW? I'm tired of looking at that (my opinion) shallow and vapid picture of the current pick.
Is there a screening process or do you just post anyone that submits themselves?
