The Skinny On Silent Hill 2 And Clock Tower Movies

Word on the street is Christophe Gans is not going to be working on the Silent Hill sequel. Oh but nooooes!! At least that’s what producer Don Carmody told horror website Shock Till You Drop.
We're developing, slowly, a screenplay. I don't think Christophe wants to direct it. He's involved pretty heavily in another project right now.
He also had a few words to say about the film adaptation of Clock Tower.
It's a tricky one to get. I became involved in the project about a year ago and I just felt they were going the wrong way. So I added my two-cents and they're trying to put it in. We'll see what happens there. Hopefully it'll develop out, not every iron you stick in the fire gets used.
I’m highly skeptical about switching directors for the second Silent Hill. It was the direction that was top notch, not so much the writing. Gans did manage to capture the look and mood of the game beautifully, from the smoky foreboding streets to the rusted gritty dark side of the town.
Who would be a better candidate to direct the sequel? Is there a more fitting director? How about, who would be the worst director for this picture and why? Chime in, I’m curious about what our readers have to say.

hm... with our luck they will have Uwe Boll direct the second one... with silent hill 2 *the video game itself* video clips in the movie... god help us
Best replacement: David Lynch
Worst replacement: Michael Bay (AKA "The other Uwe Boll")
ok, first of all, I have to say that i'm not surprised that they were screwing clock tower.
Jorge Olguin, the guy directing, is an ass, he has done 2 movies, both very comercial with almost non-existent plot...
he is a chilean director who wants to be a popular hollywood director... screw movies, he wants the money...
as i live in Chile i have seen his movies... the guy doesn't know what he is doing... i have no faith in clock tower.
