The Space Invaders Door Mat
I was trying to figure out why the hell this thing, attractive as it is, would cost $110. Don't get me wrong: it appeals to my geeky nostalgia and seems to be of very high quality... but $110? Ah, it seems that LED lights are involved somehow:
You might just want to give this brand new Back Off door mat from our friends over at La Tête Au Cube a try. Those are the same guys that bring you the fab Buddy Throw or the TankU vase, they have been eagerly developing new products and amongst the brand new ones is this Space Invaders inspired door mat. It runs on a couple AA batteries and uses flat panel LEDs to bring on the action just like we know it from Space Invaders...
Well, that was wonderfully vague. Anyone got a video of this mat in action? It sounds like it could be interesting to watch.
