Eets: Chowdown and Pinball FX Chomp and Roll Their Way Onto XBLA
Two games hit Xbox Live Arcade, today! Eets: Chowdown and Pinball FX should be available as of this morning for your downloading pleasure for 800 MS points apiece. Eets is billed as a "visual feast for the eyes and a treat for the brain, combining 2D puzzle game elements with a surreal sense of humor." Surreal sense of humor? I'm in! Well, I'll be checking out the demo (my 360 was replaced, so I can get my MS game on, again) for sure. In Eets, you "must use colorful and whacky items like spouting Prankster Whales, vengeful Marshomechs, Radioactive Ginseng and more to manipulate Eets’ emotions and safely guide it through myriad hazards to each level's exit." It's an action game with 120 levels, so it should keep you occupied for a little while. From what I've seen, it looks like a lot of fun, but any game with Exploding Superpigs would be!
The other title going live, today, is Pinball FX. In this pinball game, you have the option of controlling the flippers with your hand or arm motions using the Xbox LIVE Vision Camera. The other means of controlling the game or by using the controller, which I will use since I lack a camera by which I can flash the other residents of GG Castle over a friendly game of UNO. The game also makes use of a "new standard for realistic ball physics and graphical detail in pinball video games." That should be neat to see, but I doubt I'll be making that purchase.
Anyways, if you get a chance to check out the games, let us know what you think about them. The more I think about Eets: Chowdown, the more I want to try eet out. It kind of resembles Alien Hominid, and, for me, that's a big turn on. For a few of each game's features, make the jump!

4CR is constantly pushing Eets, to the point where it makes me think they get kickbacks or something. Anyway, it seems like a nice game, and since I don't run Windows or have a 360, I hope they'll hook up with Nintendo one day so that I'll see what all the fuss (or payola) is about.
I downloaded the windows version of this a little while back, was a neat fun little game, the creatures were suprisingly emotive (sounds a tad annoying though), possesed the same kind of infuriatingly "i will beat this" addiction of lemmings and denki blocks
