X-Files Returns to the Big Screen

If you watched television at all during the ‘90s, I’m assuming that you tuned in to one of the greatest sci-fi series evar, The X-Files. This week, David Duchovny confirmed that there will be an X-Files movie sequel (finally, and for reals) and that he and Gillian Anderson will reprise their roles as our favorite FBI agents. Creator Chris Carter is working on the script.
Duchovny says, "This week, they're starting some kind of road towards doing it (the film). Gillian and I both want to be in it now. We're happy to do it."Probably because both Duchovny and Anderson didn’t have too much going on career-wise. But no matter. To me, they’ll always be Mulder and Scully anyway.

I believe it when I see an actual film trailer, until then....
Carter said he wanted to make a movie epilogue to the events of the series (detailing the invasion I guess) but just NOW he's getting to it. I'm glad Duchovny and Anderson feel comfortable with it after several odd years.
WTF? This came right out of the blue.
hells yeah. because that series finale was so... so... anti-climactic. not to mention boring. and recapitulatory.
Oh my fucking gawd...
You have just made my year.
I love you.
yay!!!! though the show started sucking after Mulder got abducted, im sooo happy it's coming back. you made my month complete. thanks Lazy P.!
Maybe...answer questions? I dont know. Will I even like the answer of what killed Mr. Eco? Not sure...So what raped Mulder, anyways? Thats a toughy...
I wouldn't say Anderson's had a flagging career. She was lauded for her role in the BBC's Bleak House and was in A Cock and Bull Story.
It's Duchovny's career that stalled. Anyone else notice that it's often the one who they think will succeed that doesn't?
I'm rewatching the series right now (hint: they came out with cheaper boxed sets). It's aged remarkably well.
