Amazon Deal of the Day: Final Fantasy XII
Today's Amazon Deal of the Day is quite a deal indeed. For $22.99, you will be able to purchase Final Fantasy XII on the PS2, the regular edition, mind you. Love it or hate it, that's a good buy even though it's not as fabulous as previous DotDs from Amazon. Some traditionalists railed the FF XII way of doing things citing it as a single player MMO, FF XI-clone. Others, who have had experience with MMOs, we delighted to find something new and accessible. A clear example of this is my b/f, who hated the game for that very reason. At the same time, my friend (and former WoW goer, like myself) Jimmy found that part to be highly attractive and is about to start playing it. Me? I'm still playing through my massive backlog of games, but I am making progress. I'll get around to XII probably just before XIII is hitting shelves. It basically being a single player MMO was why I hated it with an everlasting passion. I doubt I'll ever even finish the game, I put 20 hours on it hoping that somehow the atrocious battle system would grow on me, but it never did. Here's hoping that FFXIII sees the series return to it's former glory...
And for those same reasons I will love it for a long, long time. Sorry haters the series is in it's prime NOW.
