Blizzard Treats Sick Kid, Earns +100 Respect

Now this is how you should behave when you're a popular gaming company. Fifth-grader Ezra Chatterton, who suffers from a life-threatening brain tumor, was treated like royalty when he got to visit the Southern California headquarters of Blizzard Entertainment. Not only did he get some cool real-life swag, but he was also given a custom ass-kicking crossbow, some character upgrades, and got to create a custom NPC character in the game.
Splitting headaches started in March, which led to an emergency room visit in April. Doctors had to sedate him for the pain and he didn't wake up for a week. Groggy and weak in the hospital, Chatterton only wanted to play the massively multiplayer online game World of Warcraft.
When the Make A Wish Foundation showed up soon after, Chatterton's request was to visit Blizzard headquarters. Needless to say, Blizzard rose to this request in style and did a wonderful job of showing that they're a company which not only makes one kickass game after another, but they're also a bunch of standup guys.

Blizzard deserves a ton of Kudos for this.
Wow... just... WoW *drum roll*
No seriously. That's really awesome! Good job Blizzard!
That's awesome. Woot for Blizzard.
Awesome of Blizzard. Can't see many other companies doing this.
EA for example? I shudder at the thought of how they would kill the child's hopes and dreams.
Cheers to Blizzard. Nice to see their success hasn't gone completely to their head. I'm sure that boy is the envy of his friends. It was also nice to hear the lengths his father went to get the computer so he and his son could play WoW together. That is incredible.
I guess this is a bad time to tell about how, without a brain tumor, me and my cousin were free to wander Microsoft at will (except the Windows building). Drinking their soda, playing their games, eating lunch, and no one batted an eye
Seriously, I can't see any game company NOT doing that sort of thing.
Not taking away from the fact they made the kid's wish come true in an awesome fashion. But if they really loved him, they would have given him Starcraft 2 to take home :)
