D3 Press Day NYC: Ben 10: Protector Of Earth

Based on the Cartoon Network's wildly popular show, Ben 10: Protector of Earth brings shape-changing kid Ben Tennyson to the PS2, PSP, Wii and DS. While the game wasn't quite ready for hands-on Tiny time, the cell-shaded graphics and animation style looked both true to the cartoon series and very, very fun to play.
With the help of an alien device strapped to his wrist (called the Omnitrix) Ben can assume various alien forms like Heatblast, Fourarms, Cannonbolt and Wildvine, which give him related powers such as firepower, heavy lifting, and super speed. While Ben can only maintain his forms for a limited time, the meter that charges the Omnitrix refills quickly, and keeping the vulnerable kid-shaped Ben out of harm's way while deciding which form to use next looked exciting but not too frustrating.
Ben 10's combat looks more than robust enough - I glimpsed many, many more combos than I'd ever stand a chance of remembering, and combined with form-swapping the fighting could definitely be more elaborate than one might expect from a game based on a kid's TV show. What's more, the game takes place in 14 levels spread across well-known locations in the USA such as the Grand Canyon or Mount Rushmore - and breaking the nose off a snooty-looking FDR looked like a hoot.
Make the jump to see some screens, Ben 10 fans!

Not to sound like a geek.. but it's Teddy Roosevelt that is on Rushmore, not FDR
We wish they put FDR on Rushmore ;)
You know, I always wandered if Ben and Gwen were, you know, engage if you know what I mean. Yeah I know they're cousin but hey, they live in a trailer and they cross-country the U.S.A.
Coincidence? I think not! ;P
*get tossed to death by yogurts thrown by Ben 10 fans*
They're TEN mister Frenchmen.
