Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Heads Stateside

Two great franchises that taste great together are coming to North America this fall. Dynasty Warriors from Koei and Gundam from Namco Bandai are colliding for a hack’em slash’em sci-fi fest that brings the best of both worlds together for both the PS3 and Xbox 360. The gameplay is textbook Dynasty Warriors brand of slicing through hordes of enemies in the Gundam universe with huge flying mechs and blasters. Dynasty Warriors: Gundam was previously released as Gundam Musou in Japan, which broke PS3 records by selling over 100,000 copies on the first day.
"Dynasty Warriors: Gundam is the result of a monumental collaboration between two great companies," said Namco Bandai, EVP and Makoto Iwai. "This partnership extends far beyond the title's development and encompasses all disciplines including marketing, sales and promotions in order to bring this unique title to North America. Featuring interstellar environments and unmatched warrior battles, gamers will understand why Dynasty Warriors: Gundam is the must have game for the fall."
This is an interesting twist on the Dynasty Warriors franchise. I would have never seen this collaboration coming, considering that the Dynasty Warriors games took place in feudal Japan, and Gundam is set in a futuristic war-torn universe of the opposing Earth Federation and Zeon forces. If the action really follows the Dynasty Warriors formula, it should be a blast to play. Get it? Blast, blasters, robots. Sheesh, tough room. (Off in the distance a lone cricket chirps)
Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Heads to N. America [Next Generation]

The Dynasty Warriors games took place in feudal China. Samurai Warriors took place in Japan.
All right now the long drawn out battles will make sense because its anime.
I saw Zechs Marquise. I was sold.
Hmm... they are running out of ideas of dynasty warriorish games... Hey maybe they are going to do a WW2 type or even greeks while they are at it.
Still I've been a gundame fan so I'll give it a try... gundams of the 80's that is (like the stardust memories trilogy, good times)
:groan:
So if 2 franchises of typically horrible games combine will the result be twice as horrible? My guess is yes.
