flOw Gets A Price Reduction
Last Thurday’s PlayStation Store update included a discount for the beautiful aquatic dreamscape flOw. Previously the game was priced at $8 off of the Store, but for a limited time the price has been reduced to a modest $5 until May 23rd.
Reviews of the game were a mixed bag when it came out. Some reviewers dismissed the game because the game was devoid of meat and substance. Our own Tiny Dancer thought the game was, “still a beautiful but shallow interactive screen saver. There's nothing wrong with that - it's an entrancing example of workable and enjoyable simplicity.” He’s right, the game is marvelous in its simplicity. The minimalist graphics, music and gameplay compliment one another in their ability to create a game with a simple premise that is relaxing and entrancing at the same time. I would recommend the download since it is a game that’s unlike any other, and supporting experimental titles shows companies like Sony that gamers are interested in titles that stray from the beaten path.
