Homebrew Tales: Adventure II- Revenge Of The Duck

Adventure for the Atari 2600 is widely considered the birth father of the action-adventure genre. The game was released in 1980, and is regarded as one of the company’s finest titles. Warren Robinett created the game and also introduced the first popular Easter egg to gaming. Going on to sell over a million copies, Adventure is one of the most successful games in the Atari library.
At one time a sequel was planned, but was eventually dropped. The game then evolved into the Swordquest series. Fortunately some homebrew artists have been working on Adventure II for the past few years. Now the game is finished and has been released on the Atari 5200. The title is boxed and ready for shipping at the Atari Age store.
There was a limited edition of the game that has already sold out. It sounds pretty sweet though. The limited edition includes a box of the game with original artwork, full color manual, and a gold foil, numbered sticker for each cart. Check out the notification area of the page, you can sign up to be notified if this becomes available again. They still have some boxed carts left without all of the extras.
If you are a retro gaming fan, this box is for you. The game looks faithful to the original material, including the duck dragons and the little square hero. Check out some of the shots after the jump and you will see a gallery of images that pay homage to the one that started it all.
