Konami Re-Releasing Every Metal Gear Solid...In Japan

Those lucky bastards! As the Metal Gear franchise breezes past its 20th anniversary looking sleek and sexy with just a dusting of gray at its manly, Snakey temples, Konami has announced its intentions to woo Japanese fans by re-releasing every Metal Gear game since the PlayStation's Metal Gear Solid. This means that MGS, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops will all be re-released, both separately and as part of the Metal Gear Solid Collection package.
No word on Subsistence or any plans to fluff 'da Snake stateside, but hey - the grass can't always be greenest beneath your toes, can it? Europe's getting all those cool period adventure games, Japan continues to feast at the banquet of its console industry, and we poor huddled North Americans? We go back to playing keep-the-bit-of-old-cabbage-away-from-the-kid-with-rickets again, don't we? God bless us, every one...
...especially Raiden.

Bring half-life to ps3 and 360 honey!

Right, because is somehow relevant with Tiny's post. Allow me to put this back on track.
Don't fret, Tiny! I'd be surprised if this package never finds its way across the Pacific. The Metal Gear titles are popular here too, and since it seems to be just re-releases and not upgrades, would it really take Konami so much effort to put together an American release?
Hey, guy in the picture with the long white hair...would you PLEASE sit down?!
uh.... they are missing Metal Gear 1 and 2 from the MSX, or they still have MGS3 Subsistence out in stores and they want more people to buy those instead? Kinda was expecting some Virtual Console, Live Arcade and Playstation to download these original games to the series.
I loved Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, it had Rocket Packed Ninjas who had long elaborate series of dialog right before they died.
I just love it when Americans complain about being overlooked in favor of Europeans concerning videogames.
*DING* Reality check in isle 1.
nexus - indeed. considering the only thing they could come up with for Europe is those PC adventure games, which can be easily imported anyway. on the other hand, Super Paper Mario still doesn't have an announced release date in Europe, and the Wii is region locked. Grr.
