LittleBigPlanet Character Creation Trailer
And then there's LittleBigPlanet. There's something about this PS3 simulator that reminds me of the feeling I got when I first started playing games and the most exciting thing I could imagine was absolute freedom in a game. LittleBigPlanet provides tons of freedom, all the way down to how your character looks and acts (something of increasing popularity in recent games). The developers have done an astounding job in injecting the feeling of fun into every aspect of this game. This is the game that you will show people when they've never seen the PS3 in action, and this is the game that you'll be playing with friends until the wee hours of the morning.
That's an accomplishment in and of itself, even if there's no drama to speak of. Then again, maybe it's time to start being satisfied with an adorable little burlap ragdoll with vampire teeth and a multicolored cape, pushing oranges and stickering up the walls.
