Maple Story's Two Year Anniversary
Light the candles and get your party hats out for Maple Story turns two years old in North America. The 2D side-scrolling MMO from Nexon has been a worldwide success with over 50 million users. All through May, there will be anniversary events that offer special items, such as the “Massive Maple Item and Weapon Hunt”, the “Birthday Present Blow-out”, and “Cody’s Quest”. Look for special birthday-themed monsters, and special GM events from the 9th through the 16th. For their “Seeing Double” promotion, dig into double XP and item drops from the 11th-31st. Nexon is going all out with fan-art contests from creating monsters, to creating weapons. The winners may have their work of brilliance put into the game.
So if you haven’t checked out this adorable game, now is your chance. With all of the events and double the experience points, you can get up and running pretty quickly. I will warn you though, you will be swimming in a sea of microtransactions to outfit your character. Personalization comes at a price. That price is whatever you are willing to spend.
