Mario Japanese Sales Throughout The Ages
First of all, Mario's been around for a long long time, obviously. Just look at how many actual Super Mario games he's been in!! That doesn't even count those other games like Mario in Time (I actually enjoyed that one...when I was 13). ...but let's just forget about that. This chart tracks the various Mario games and how well they've sold. The original Super Mario Bros. is at the top of the heap, which is unsurprising, with over 6.8 million copies. What is surprising, at least to me, is that New Super Bros. comes in at over 4.4 million copies! Just behind NSB is Super Mario Land, which I have fond memories of on the Game Boy. In fact, I'm humming the theme right now. Oh well, just thought it was interesting. Follow the link for the bigger picture.
