Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword DS... OMG!

Ninja Gaiden is coming to the DS, and boy does it look ninjtastic! I gotta say, this is looking way better than I could have ever imagined, after incredibly high expectations from the last Ninja Gaiden game. Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword is the first action-adventure game I've seen that uses the DS sideways a la Brain Age. Using great graphics, pre-rendered backgrounds as well as innovative controls--it's shaping up to be quite the game. I particularly love the hand-drawn map detailing on the left hand side of the DS combined with the intuitive control. You can keep an eye on where you are while slashing with the stylus and attacking in a myriad of ways without confusion. Often I've found that when there is a lot of stylus action I end up getting myself killed out of lack of control, unfortunately being too small-minded to do two things at once. Tecmo's design takes that problem out of the loop. Can't wait to get my hands on it in September.

Hmm....I'm probably going to have to disagree with you on the gameplay, Pirate Prince. Judging by the way the controls are described, I'm pretty sure I'm going to see my self jumping a lot when I'm trying to make a lot of quick attacks or it'll try to attack when I'm trying to jump. Sounds like it will be easy to block, but I'm thinking that it'll take a lot of getting used to how they programmed it to get used to how it'll play. I guess we'll find out when it comes out, but I will wager on the opposite spectrum from you on controls (I just hope you win the wager).
