But this video is a great example of the gameplay. Not only do you get to see Luffy at work beating up some marines, but Zoro the swordsman and Franky the cyborg as well. The video gives a good sense of the island structure (graphics are some of the best I've seen on Wii), but it's also clear that the player can travel around in any direction desired as well as switch to any of the eight characters at his or her discretion.
While the video is mostly based on fighting gameplay (admittedly it is unclear how complex the fighting mechanics ultimately are), there will also reportedly be exploration and discovery elements, as well as tools that the player can find that make exploring the island a little easier. A US release of the game has been reported as early as June and as late as August of this year, but you can be sure I'll be posting any future updates. Because I'm completely obsessed.

seeing this, it makes me want a decent inuyasha action adventure game too!
I've been looking with interest on this game for a while, unfortunately the fighting doesn't really seem to be all that deep, hopefully this video just doesn't do it justice.
P.S. Inuyasha sucks.
over the course of reading your posts about this game, you've convinced me to give the whole franchise a closer look. i'm impatiently waiting for my local comic shop to get me volume one of the manga, and i've put the (eventual) FUNi uncut release of the anime on my list of things to watch out for. can't wait until the game gets a US date!
