Second Life Pride 2007
Summer is here, and along with barbecues and melanomas, that means one thing: gay pride! I'd actually drummed up a pretty feisty list of prides that I planned to attend - NY Pride, of course; Brooklyn Pride, since that gets its own day too; San Diego Pride; and maybe even the LazyBear weekend out in Northern California. Until today, I didn't expect Second Life to show up on my dance card, but lo and behold - not only is planning for Second Life Pride 2007 well underway, its got a sexy-looking and rather numerous set of committees (Steering, Building, Marketing and Advertising, and Operations), as well as a festival that's planned to cover no fewer than six mainland sims over six days of virtual pride.
From June 24 to June 30, break out your beads and your six-pac-abs avatar and head down to Second Life for some gay gaming, community-building, and general gaying-up of the internets. Check out the SL Pride 2007 page at Google Groups for more information than you can shake a stick at.
