VG Cats Does Deathnote

I swear Scott Ramsoomair and I were separated at birth--our interests appear to be far too much on the same page. Lucky for everyone I'm just a big nerd while he uses his immense artistic talent and has the willpower to be quite prolific. It seems like every time I become obsessed with something I find it on the pages of his much-loved webcomic VGCats within days.
Having just read the most recent VIZ release of Deathnote (Volume 11) and eagerly anticipating the final volume in a few months, I was tickled pink to find a reference in the latest chapter of VGCats. If you've never heard of Deathnote and don't really get the above-linked comic, do yourself a favor and pick up the first volume of the great manga at your nearest distributor of Japanese comic addiction. You won't be sorry... unless you're not into gods of death amid battles of wit and sexy hair. And really, who isn't?
VGCats #230: Judgmental

I just saw this strip this morning and got a real kick out of it! A friend from work got me hooked on the manga Deathnote last month and I am on the 4th volume right now. I highly suggest that everyone have a look at this manga! Its awesome :D
Raito Yagami is a sex god.
And L is probably a weasel in the sack.
I dare you to prove me wrong.
Read it, very good to begin with, but the manga in general plays too many mind games and after the time jump makes a few narrative mistakes (characters knowing stuff they should not know). Ending was a little predictable too.
I've been watching the anime and it is awesome. I love it as Light eats a potato chip and it sparkles. Actually all of the scenes of Light writing in the Death Note come out dramatically hilarious. Ryuk and his apples make me giggle too.
I agree with Decompiled, the idea and basic story of Deathnote are great, but the manga itself eventually buries itself under too many logic puzzles that don't actually make sense and quickly goes to pot.
To all the death note fans: Do not watch the movie based on the book! It's pure horror!
For your consideration

Ps:OH! and if you want to discover the series, i strongly suggest reading the comic first then the manga.
And to Katsuya Kaiba, wait till you meet Mello, it took me a while to find out he was a guy!
Mello rule, peace out!
