WoW On The Go, Now In The Palm Of Your Hand

OQO!!! I wonder how you pronounce that? Anyways, the power of mobile PCs continues to multiply and it's amazing how far they have come in their relatively short life. Now comes the OQO model 02, which will allow you to take your level 70 Blood Elf Paladin just about anywhere. Too bad you cannot bubble hearth yourself to your destination instead of hanging out at the airport. The OQO even comes equipped with an internal cellular modem in the event you find yourself lacking a WiFi spot or two to scratch that World of Warcraft itch.

So, does WoW really need to be this dangerously portable? What else would you like to bring along with you? Your thoughts are waiting to be materialized below.

As with everything, there are laws of nature that cannot be circumvented with conventional thinking. Taking a PC with an OS intented for a desktop machine and shrinking it as far as possible is definitely the wrong approach. I have spent a lot of time researching mobile computing and have come to the conclusion, that the systems built from the ground up (Pocket PC, Symbian,Palm) as handheld devices are superior in almost every way to the shrinking method.
What can possibly be done with projection in a few years is a different story, but the OQO is just a case study that will fail miserably.
