4 Control Options For Super Smash Bros Brawl

The Super Smash Bros. series has been known for dizzying frantic action since the first iteration on the Nintendo 64. When the screen fills with four combatants, the game becomes a frenzy of flying creatures as they zip across the screen at blazing speeds.
Now with the Wii iteration right around the corner, fans of the series have been curious about how the control scheme will be adapted for the new title. Masahiro Sakurai, the director and game designer for Super Smash Bros. Brawl has updated his blog with 4 possible control options for the game.
- Wii Remote
- Wii Remote with Nunchuk
- Classic Controller
- GameCube Controller
Sakurai has been working with Nintendo’s HAL Laboratory for many years. He was responsible for creating the character Kirby at the tender age of 19, and was the creative force behind the original Super Smash Bros.
For Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Sakurai prefers the GameCube controller because, “I like the feel of that powerful rumble.” Yeah, I know what you mean, I’m a fan of that powerful rumble too. Hmmm… He doesn’t go into any specifics about the control scheme for the Wii Remote setups, but when he gets the chance to divulge the info, he promises he will.
