Atlus Interview Reveals Details On Upcoming Releases
In a recent interview with several Atlus project developers, RPGamer has gathered some interesting details on their respective upcoming Atlus games. With some of my most anticipated titles for this year coming from the company, there were a lot of interesting tidbits to be found.
The Riviera remake for the PSP is confirmed to have fully voiced dialogue, in both English and Japanese as well as new events and illustrations to go along with it. Although the localization will be the same as in the previous Riviera, the new events will of course have new translations.
Luminous Arc, an SRPG for the DS will have wireless and wifi multiplayer gameplay with stylus optional control. Surprisingly for a DS game, it has been announced to have plenty of voice acting, as well. The game promises at least 20 hours of gameplay, with possibly double that if one goes after all the sidequests.
Most exciting were details revealed on Persona 3, the latest in the deliciously dark Shin Megami Tensei series. As far as editing goes, Yu Namba (Project Lead) said that the only things that were removed were,
"...things that made absolutely no sense in western culture, like jokes that only Japanese players would understand, and these were replaced with jokes that at least somewhat parallel the originals."Kudos to Atlus for that choice, rather than the awful cutting that occurred in the past Persona games. Considering the subject matter, Namba concurred that the game will probably get an M rating. And once again, any prospects for the Persona 3 collector's edition: FES were soundly shot down.

Seems like the USA is always missing out on "something" from the Persona series. Well... at least we are getting P3.
"Probably" get an M-Rating?
How surprising is that, considering the characters (figuratively) shoot themselves in the head to summon their persona?
I just had to say that Persona 3 was a huge disappointment for me. It's not near as good as Persona 2: Innocent Sin (that one didn't come out in english) and the new system just sucks.
Basically you play as a kid in school and during the day you go to school (sometimes you have to do pop quizzes and such) and then at night you go to dungeons. The crappy part is that eventually you get tired and have to go home, so dungeons can take a long time to finish.
The USA isn't even getting Persona 3 Fes, so no extra stuff. :/
