Cicada Is A Winner!!!
Earlier this month, we published a delightful feature article on Judson Cowan, the musical maestro behind the moniker Cicada and the albums Choralseptic and Technology Crisis. Not only is Cowan a very talented musician with exquisite taste in retro and modern games, and a precious scrumptious morsel, he is also a highly creative graphic designer with a comedic flair. What a Renaissance man! Le pant, le pant, le mew, le purrr....
Our friends at Destructoid just held a contest to promote 2K Game’s The Darkness with “The Darkness: Create your own Darkling.” There were three choice finalists, and Cicada managed so snag the first place prize. He won a copy of The Darkness for Xbox 360 or the PS3, along with a special edition of The Darkness comic book. His winning piece entitled “Batman Darkling” is hilarious. Cowan dressed the purple darkling in a shredded Batman costume as if he ate Batman, stole his costume, got drunk, and paraded around as the masked crusader. Great work man!
