Confirmed Monsters For Dragon Quest Swords
Sure, there's no surprise that there will be slimes in Dragon Quest Swords, the Wii sword-fighting RPG that will be released next month in Japan and sometime in 2008 in the US of A. But now we have some of the expected monster cast of the upcoming game, thanks to Famitsu. By checking out the screenshots here, you can see that the classic franchise will have all the expected baddies: adorable slime knights, fighting armor, piggish orcs, pesky healslimes, combined slimes, agile bigeyes, drooling zombies. Sure, there's nothing shocking about seeing these screenshots, but it's good to know that the expected Dragon Quest pantheon of monsters can be expected, especially when this is the prettiest I've ever seen them. Lighting effects look nice, and don't contrast much with the cartoony and clean polygons of the baddies.
2008 can't come fast enough.
