David Jaffe Leaving Sony To Form New Studio

What's he thinking? If you read this, be sure to make up an inner-monologue for our friend here!

Website 1Up has found found out that David Jaffe will no longer be a part of Sony. In fact, he is currently working with Incognito Entertainment head Scott Campbell. Their work together will result in the formation of a brand new studio based in Utah, but don't take that as a sign that Jaffe has left Sony. 1Up made the following update to their article to clarify things a bit:

Just a little clarification for those slightly confused by this story. David Jaffe, at this very moment, is still employed by Sony. But he is very much in the process of setting up this new Utah-based studio with Scott Campbell. This new studio is said to be independent of Sony, so his role within the company is currently changing or disappearing. He will not be moving to Utah, though.

So, could this result in some kick ass games (Calling All Cars not included) for other systems? Let us hope so. I just wonder how hands on he will be without moving to Utah. I suppose we'll see the fruits of that labor after the yet-to-be-named studio pushes out its first game.
