Epic's Mark Rein: GoW On PS3 "Complete Bullsh*t"
Epic Games big boy Mark Rein recently did double duty debunking a pair of rumors that seemed to have really gotten under his skin. The first, that Gears of War might one day end up on the PlayStation 3, is pretty standard fare - the second rumor, however, painted a picture of bad air between Epic Games and Microsoft. Not that Microsoft's afraid of a little bad air, but this stinker was all flatulence and no flagrante, according to Rein:
"This story is complete bull****. I emailed the site and asked them to take it down. We're very happy with our relationship with Microsoft. If it weren't for them Gears wouldn't be the huge hit it has become."
I love a man who's not afraid to slap down a little truth... it stings so sweet. Gears schmears - until and/or unless there's a big segment of the gaming population who've got a PS3 but no 360, I'll save my tears for something else. Like Perplex City: RIP, cool ARG.
