Hammer Time For Atari

If you happen to be in or reside in New York City, you have the chance to own a piece of classic gaming memorabilia. Sotheby's is holding an auction in which people may buy items pertaining to Atari. One lot is described as "an extensive archive of original marketing materials from the 'Golden Age' of Atari." There are folders upon folders "full of original sketches, early designs and proofs of games such as Dig Dug, Bezerk, Asteroids, Pong and Mario Bros.."
So, if you're in NYC, be sure to grab your paddle (wink) and put on your best Sunday church hat to head over to Sotheby's. ...but before you go, make sure you wear your pants with the deep pockets as some of these items are going for $150,000 to $250,000 dollars. Unfortunately, I am neither in New York nor do I have that kind of pocket change on me.
