Japanese Sony Staff Will Not Be "Streamlined"

sonycomputerentertain.jpg

Recently Sony has undergone a “streamlining” of their games division. They have laid off staff from their European division in April and this past month US offices received the same treatment. The next logical step would have been to streamline Sony Entertainment Of Japan.

Apparently that’s not the case. Spokeswoman Sayoka Henmi from Sony told the Associated Press that they will not be cutting staff from their Japanese offices. She stated that, “The goal is to reform the organization.”

Earlier this week Sony insisted that the cuts were not due to the performance of the PS3, instead suggesting that they are adjusting to the needs of the industry. They are concentrating their efforts to the changing demographic and needs of their PS3 customers. More people are using their machines to surf the internet, download media and view them on their consoles, instead of just playing games.

Wow, is this the first time the "scalpers who couldn't scalp their console" market has been catered to by such a big company?

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
