Lumines clone coming to the Nintendo DS

lumines4.jpg

DS gamers will soon be able to play a slightly derivative version of my favorite puzzle game, Lumines. German publisher bhv Software is releasing their own take on the music puzzler title in Europe. Luminator is being developed by Xider studios, who brought us the delightful adventure title Bone: Out from Boneville in ‘05.

Steering away from the infectious pop beats of Lumines, Luminator will feature a healthy dose of dark German trance. The title will sport 15 “CD quality” songs, which pales in comparison to the plethora of tracks you can unlock in Q Entertainment’s robust original. The title will be released in Europe in the third quarter this year. So track down your importer if you are interested in more block dropping, trancy minimalist good times.
