Naruto: Clash of Ninja: Revolution(I can't believe that that is it's title, either) on the Wii is sure to be a hit. Combining a uniquely controlled fighting game with one of the most successful anime franchises to hit the states since Dragon Ball Z can only mean a lot of sold games. I'm impressed by the graphics: characters look cel shaded without looking flat, and battle effects seem to come right out of the anime scenes. The only problem, it seems a little sedated. Before and after the fights, Naruto and Sasuke barely move, and the movements they do have seem stilted and boxy in comparison to the impressive body physics from the fighting portions. When making a game based on an much loved anime, one of the greatest challenges has to be giving life to the characters in a dynamic way. Here's hoping this short scene isn't indicative of the whole game.
More importantly, did anyone tell them that Nintendo's new console is no longer called the "Revolution?"
