No New Monkey Island?
Everybody loves Monkey Island. That is a scientific fact, like Suri Cruise's paternity or Iraq's WMDs. Everybody loves the piratey adventure franchise so much, in fact, that the rumormongers over at Rumor Reporter confirmed that they knew a guy who knew a guy who said for certain that the fifth Monkey Island is in the works.
Luckily, British Gaming Blog was there with rosy cheeks and a seasonable cardigan to soundly rebuke said rumor with an actual reply from an actual ex LucasArts illustrator, who at least proffered some random concept art of his own as a soothing balm for the disappointed. How is this different than merely "knowing a guy who knows a guy" with the opposite story? They're British, of course. Whatever else might one need?
Should you still require consolation, pour yourself a few fingers of Captain Morgan's (ask The Boy Blunder if you're out of rum, he's got plenty) and listen to the Monkey Island jig on mandolin.
