PaRappa Your Way To PAX
Want to show off your mad rapping skills and go to the Penny Arcade Expo? Sony is holding a contest to promote their upcoming release of PaRappa the Rappa for PSP where contestants are encouraged to recreate any of three songs from the original title. All you have to do is pick any of the following songs; Mooselini’s Driving Lessons, Master Onion’s Dojo, or Cheap Cheap’s Cooking Show. They have a link to download the lyrics, very handy. Then perform your song in front of a camera. The only real catch is, you have to rap it a cappella.
You can submit the video via email, or upload it to a video site like YouTube. The first place prize includes:
- Airfare for you and a friend to PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle, WA, August 24, 25 and 26, 2007
- One double-occupancy hotel room for three nights
- Spending money for meals and transportation for three days
- Two PSPs and two copies of PaRappa the Rapper (so you and your guest can play head-to-head on the way home)
The first 100 entrants will receive that fancy PaRappa-themed Paul Frank tee shirt which caught my eye a few days ago. Now all I can think of is dressing up as Mooselini with Fruit as PaRappa and driving through our little wordy rapping hood. When I say boom boom boom, you say bam bam bam....
