Rumor Mill: PSP Redesign Imminent, Conflict Ensues

It seems that the slimmer PSP redesign rumor mill is a little clogged. Recently Kotaku posted their findings about the redesign. Recent sources say that they were mostly misguided, but were at least headed in the right vicinity. The rumor-rectifying repository Rumor Reporter revealed their sources have linked to actual details on the redesign.
Several sources have come to my attention regarding Kotaku’s original article last week. And in fact, plenty of their details about this ‘PSP Slim’ contradict the information that Kotaku has led thousands of its readers to believe already. My undisclosed sources tell me that Kotaku’s report is mainly factually inaccurate.
Both Kotaku and Reporter had similar findings. Reporter claimed that the screen will still be LCD, not LED. The UMD tray will be replaced with a slot loader similar to a DS card slot. The screen will be the exact same size and flips out like a Sidekick. Instead of 8GB of on-board memory, 4GB is more likely.
I just consulted the grand oracle on top of my teetering bookcase, the almighty 8-ball, and he said with a shake and a stutter, “Details hazy, wait 'till E3.” This is somewhat upsetting, considering the PSP I just purchased will be outdated by the end of the year. I knew I should have stayed in bed today. Reality is such a harsh mistress. /le faint

Glad I am waiting.
I -just- bought a PSP too... though I must say 8GB on-board memory is still better than 4GB... and overall it doesn't sound like all that much is going to change. The PSP isn't unsightly or large and I am a very small girl. I would have to say the changes aren't going to be vast. The flip-out screen will be good or bad depending, the way you described it... it sounds shifty.
But E3 should tell all. I don't want to wait.
