31 Year-Old WoW Player Arrested for Attempted Kidnapping
With over 8 million people across the globe playing World of Warcraft, crazy things are bound to happen. Take the case of Tamara Broome. The 31 year-old World of Warcraft player was arrested on charges that she attempted to lure her 17-year-old boyfriend, a U.S. citizen, to her home back in Australia. Apparently, they began an "intense relationship" about a year ago while playing WoW.
But then the details get sketchy. Although Broome flew from Australia to the boy's hometown in North Carolina, the flight was allegedly paid for by the boy's parents, who wanted her to come "sort it all out." However, the woman was met by three detectives as she tried to board a train near the teenager's hometown. She was was charged with "attempting to abduct a child after the 17-year-old boy was caught trying to board a flight to Australia."
Her flatmate, who asked not to be named, said Ms Broome was not trying to kidnap the teenager. "He's the one who wanted to come here," the housemate said, adding that Ms Broome believed the boy's parents had hacked into her email accounts to find out about her.
What a mess. It's almost as weird as this.

Actually, I think in that case it's really low from the parents to lure the woman into the arms of the police.
I mean, come on, that is no rape or something. Sure, it is a bit weird, yeah (17 and 31 O.o) but hey, who are we to judge? Obviously both wanted that.
And the only way to keep their son from his new "girlfriend" is to send her to prison?! Oh man...
I dunno, this is kinda meh. If the kid was 18 there would have been no problem unless she killed the kid or something.. which was probably unlikely.
