Back In Blog: Eliza Gauger, Florian Eckhardt Sign On With Dtoid
The world hasn't been the same, has it, since Florian and Eliza vanished? Florian Eckhardt, nee John Brownlee, and Eliza Gauger, nee Eliza Gauger, are returning from their spiritual quest to find the Tao of the Game, and they're landing at Destructoid. The sharp-witted Kotaku and Wired vets will be gracing the Dtoid pages with their respective signature styles beginning next week, and the world of typing-about-games peals a chorus of Hallelujahs at their restoration.
Here's the good word from the charming and gracious Niero:
You know them from Kotaku. You've read them on Wired. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm happy to announce new associate editors Eliza Gauger and John Brownlee will now be writing for Destructoid, starting immediately next week (barring outbreaks of Ebola and bathtub electrocution). I'm sure that many of you missed reading them as I did, so if you can imagine me making-out with myself then you'll understand how happy we are to have them. They merely demanded the blood of thousand eagles and my vintage collection of underage Chris Furniss polaroids, which I gladly accepted.
Welcome back, we missed you! We also missed those Chris Furniss pics... I'll trade ya a whole album of Tiny's Patented Autoerotica for one lil' snapshot...it's hot in that Furniss!

Hrm... almost makes me want to read Dtoid more frequently. I shied away from it after Ishaan left -- I couldn't stand all the shoddy writing/attitude from guys like Summa and Nex -- but I'm a huge fan of Eliza's work, so we'll see.

Eliza's work is incredible. There's a reason I've embedded myself into her massive cottage-cheese thigh for most of the past year, a human-bot fly suckling away at the nourishment of her casual genius.

Yeah, she'll be okay. I've long since let our petty squabbles go. In fact, as a conciliatory gesture, as a sign of solidarity, and to let everyone know that Faith and I are now two peas in a pod, united in the complimentary purposes of gaming feminism and sweet spank bank goodness, I've decided to sign all of my posts from now on like so...

You have to imagine that before the principal F and after the ultimate 'dt', there are animated hearts and unicorns. Likewise, Faith, it would be a nice gesture if you'd start sandwiching 'Florian Eckhardt' in between your first name and your declaration of nudity.
