Comic Con 07: Viva Piñata Coming To The DS

At Kids' Day at Comic-Con International, where I was - naturally - enjoying myself whilst finger-painting and eating glue under the watchful eyes of Papa Brute, Microsoft announced Viva Piñata for the DS! I got so excited I pitched a fit, soiled my diaper (twice), and then had to take an early nap in my stroller.
Details remain perilously slender, aside from the fact that it will be a port of the original Xbox 360 game. Some fabulous Rare employees have dropped a few tidbits on the Viva Piñata forums, however, saying:
I believe it is a isometric view, rather than a 3d view. I am guessing this is something to do with the graphics power of the DS.
And then, in response to said graphical prowess and potential non-prettiness of the game on the DS:
You'll be pleasantly surprised.
Considering that Microsoft bought Rare way back in 2002 when culottes on men were considered cute (if you're still wearing clam-diggers without a sense of irony, fellas, it's time to reassess), it's cool that they've not stopped making games for another company's hardware. Does that make Viva Piñata DS a third-party title or a "Somebody Else's First-Party Title Wearing A Third-Party Costume -Party Title?" Make that money!

I love the gameplay of VP, this is one of those games that are underappreciated.
