Concerning Destructoid

With E3 swiftly becoming a distant memory, I wanted to jot down a few thoughts on some of the incredible friendships formed there. I've spoken at length about the amazing Stuttering Craig and Handsome Tom of ScrewAttack.com so I wanted to give a little shout out to our partners in crime over at Destructoid. Niero, the mastermind behind the site has been a long time friend and supporter of GayGamer. He was the first person to link to us, first to send an email to me and one of the first members of our forums. Along with Fronz, Niero accepted us into the gaming blog universe with open arms, a gesture which I will always be grateful for.
Not too much time went by before I was invited to start syndicating some of my articles on their site and I was thrilled. Unfortunately, the time I was able to actually do it was short, but I was always thankful for the opportunity. Soon, both of our respective sites were getting lots of traffic and attention and our communications became few and far between as we all struggled to keep up with our burgeoning popularity. We didn't speak as often as we had, but we were certainly still in each other's minds. Tiny had the great fortune to meet Niero and some of the crew at GDC and I was heartbroken that I wasn't able to finally meet them in person as I was only able to attend for one day.
Finally the great day came when we reciecved our E3 invitations and I knew that this would be my opportunity to finally meet the infamous bunch. As much as I had imagined how fun it would be to meet them, I was ill prepared for the outpouring of love and friendship expressed upon our meeting outside the Nintendo Press conference. This feeling continued through the remainder of the event with meet ups at the Bethesda party, dinner after the Gamecock E3 Funeral, and finally at a party at Tiny and my room at the Le Merigot. Once it was finally all over and everyone went home, I felt a profound sense of loss, something akin to the end of summer camp, but at the same time i was thrilled to have had the opportunity to solidify some long standing internet friendships and forge some great new ones.
So this one goes out to the Destructoid crew: Niero, Fronz, Colette, Tiffany, CTZ, Ron, Alex, Dan, Aaron, Chris (he of Weekly geek fame) and of course, the ever delightful apple of my eye, the wonderfully ebullient Chad. (If I've forgotten any of you, please forgive me as my post E3 brain is a pile of mush) It is an honor and a privilege to work beside you all in this big, wide world of the internet gaming blogosphere.

That was supposed to be a heart. Crap!
I second those emotions, and am also missing a heart. :-D
It was great meeting you Flynn and Tiny! Are you all going to be at PAX? It's going to be a giant party there!
