Dark_Alex Quits The PSP Homebrew Scene
Ask any PSP owner about custom firmware and unanimously they will mention one developer who has jumped through every flaw in the Sony firmware releases. That PSP cracker is no other than Dark Alex. His "open edition" firmware will have no more updates, he is quitting the homebrew scene. Others may pick up his work, but he is moving on to other things.
Dark Alex mentions on his website a few reasons for his leaving:
One of them is the time it consumes, which i'm losing from other things. The other is related to my security. I didn't like Sony menaces to PS3 hackers. I think it is better to leave now rather than end paying the consequences."
Now what's going to happen to all of the people who are running his custom firmware? I guess they will be left in the dust until another hot shot comes along to fill Dark Alex's position.
