Disgaea PSP Details, Media Bonanza!

Disgaea is being ported on the PSP, but it won't be a straight port. Instead, there will be a whole lot of extra elements and will have the subtitle Afternoon of Darkness. Disgaea is perfect for portability, because even though the skirmishes can take upwards of a half an hour, there is just a ridiculous amount of things to do in the game. And that's one thing I love in a game I can take with me anywhere. That way, instead of sitting on my couch feeling like a total sad sack of slob after my 8th hour of leveling, I can do it on the way to work (or heck, AT work) and feel like I'm beating the system. Anything that makes me look like more of a productive and responsible member of society while I still can bury my head in video game madness gets my wholehearted approval stamp.
I'm not sure if Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness will take place after the events of the original Disgaea, or if it just has more story added on to the original. After checking out RPGamer's collection of screenshots and art, though, there is definitely quite a bit new material. Adding on a multiplayer function also can't really go wrong. And frankly, I'm eager to rejoin the lovable cast of Laharl, Etna and Flonne. Nothings cuter than leather bound demon children, don't you think? Check for this one sometime before the end of the summer.
