EA Unveils 2 Of Spielberg's Upcoming Games

Known for heartwarming big production blockbuster films, Steven Spielberg is shifting his creative focus to three games in collaboration with Electronic Arts. The first two of three games have just been announced in a recent EA press release.
The first title will be a Wii exclusive involving manipulating blocks with the Wii remote. There will be over a hundred different activities involving the blocks. Players will be able to create their own structures and activities. The yet-to-be-named game will feature single-player, cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. Horray, we finally get a Duplo game for the Wii! It’s everything I never wanted and more than I never needed.
The second game will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and is being promoted as “more ambitious” than the Wii title. EA stated that this one will be an action-adventure game and will feature a “touching and ever-changing relationship between you and a mysterious female character who holds the key to many futures.” Hmm, sounds a little like the PS2 title Ico to me. I could give that game another go, considering I finished the first one about a dozen times already.
The Wiz is keeping the titles and release dates behind the velvet curtain at the moment. Hopefully we will hear more news on these projects at E3 this year
Spielburg is a self-proclaimed gamer and has been interested in game development for some time.
“Now I’ve been able to jump in and do it, enjoying the creative collaboration with the EALA team on our first two games and I feel we have two incredibly unique projects in development.”
EA could have been a bit more descriptive with the Wii title. It really sounds like they are talking about playing with Legos via the Wiimote. Jeez, bring a book. They might have something great with that 360 and PS3 title. One of Spielberg’s strengths is his ability to warm the cockles of even the most bitter and hardened black heart. If he can bring that bleeding heart sincerity to a pair of game characters, we might have something really special around the corner.

I loved The Dig, so i'm waiting with a LOt of anticipation the Steven Spielberg's titles!!!!
