GayGamer.net Turns One
Wow! Here we are. I can't believe it's been a whole year since our very first post. And what a year it's been! Looking back over the archives, a total of 4,827 articles have made their way through the hallowed halls of GayGamer Castle. It's been an amazing experience and we have managed to make quite an impression on the gaming community and industry at large. I think it's quite thrilling that at just a year we have managed to make friends within the industry, attended the Game Developers Conference and now, we are going to E3.
A lot of the credit for this goes to our wonderful staff of writers. Super Timsy and Toots have been here since the beginning, providing us with fun and fact filled articles while the ever stalwart Mikey toiled away behind the scenes making sure everything ran according to plan. Then, like an angel from heaven, we were blessed with the presence of Tiny Dancer, without whom I would have lost what's left of my mind ages ago.
Alexander came and gave us his all until he moved on to bigger things at Joystiq, but has still remained a great friend and behind the scenes presence in our lives. Next came Boy of Tomorrow, with his great political bent, giving the site a nice boost of serious news to go along with all the fun not to mention great photo coverage of the big events we attended. Then along came Lectric Lich who has done an amazing job maintaining the Tabletop section all by himself and churning out amazingly interesting articles in the genre that started it all. Pirate Prince arrived on the scene, pillaging his way into our hearts followed swiftly by the ever lovin' Lazy Panda who admirably holds down the fort on the weekends while the rest of us are out having fun. And last, but certainly not least, The Boy Blunder, the newest member of the family, doing a great job keeping up the comics section and making all the boys in the forums sigh dreamily. A big thanks also goes out to our guest writers, Faith Naked, Crazy Legs and Wootini for giving us some great hit and run articles.
All of these people have made the site what it is today, but a large portion of the credit also goes to you, our readers. I've said it before, but without all of you, we wouldn't be where we are today. We would just be some random blog, floating around the ether with a readership of ten. So a big thanks to all of you for helping to continue making GayGamer great.
So, here's to another year of big gay gaming fun and thanks to everyone who made and continues to make this great project possible. I am indebted to you more than you will ever know.

Happy Birthday GayGamer.net! I have to say, I am surprised to hear this site is so young. I had no idea, and the amount of news and great articles I read here suggest a site that has matured far beyond just one year. You guys should be very proud of all you've accomplished so far; I think this is a sign that there will be many great years to follow.

Congratulations. I have to admit I really wondered if a site for gay gamers would be able to make it past the novelty stage, but you did it.

1 year old! That's awesome. It's amazing, a bunch of us basicially started our sites at the same time (Destructoid, thebbps, GayGamer).
It's been so much fun watching us all grow up together and I'm proud to count myself as one of your fans.
